Murubutu in Rome

Murubutu is the stage name of Alessio Mariani, an Italian rapper and songwriter born in Reggio Emilia in 1975. He is known for literary storytelling and concept albums structured as collections of tales, including Il giovane Mariani e altri racconti and L’uomo che viaggiava nel vento e altri racconti di brezze e correnti. A teacher of history and philosophy, he draws extensively on literature, mythology and historical subjects. The Infernum Tour brought Murubutu and Claver Gold together onstage to perform their Dante-inspired collaborative album. Murubutu then returned to his solo catalogue on the Storie d’amore con pioggia Tour, which centered his concerts on the album’s linked tales of love and rain.
