Mushroomhead in Harrisburg

Mushroomhead are an American metal band formed in Cleveland in 1993. They play industrial and alternative metal with multiple vocalists and heavy percussion, and are known for masked performances, the albums XX, XIII and Savior Sorrow, and songs including “Solitaire/Unraveling,” “Sun Doesn't Rise” and “Qwerty.” Mushroomhead played Ozzfest in 2002, establishing an early presence on a touring national metal festival. They returned to that format in 2014 as part of Mayhem Festival. Their concerts are full-band performances centered on multiple vocalists, guitars and percussionists in masks. Water drums are a recurring part of the setup associated with founding drummer Steve Felton.

Fear Factory is an American industrial-metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1989. Their music pairs tightly synchronized guitar riffs and drums with electronic textures and a contrast between harsh and clean vocals. The albums Demanufacture and Obsolete established that sound through songs including “Replica,” “Shock” and “Edgecrusher,” while “Linchpin” became a key track from Digimortal. Fear Factory joined Iron Maiden’s The X Factour in 1995 and played the first Ozzfest the following year. In 2005, they toured on the inaugural Gigantour, whose lineup also included Megadeth, Dream Theater and Anthrax.
