Najwa Karam in Paris

Najwa Karam is a Lebanese singer, born in Zahlé in 1966, known for Arabic pop rooted in Lebanese folk rhythms and the mawwal vocal tradition. She performs mainly in the Lebanese dialect, and songs including “Ma Fi Nom,” “Khallini Shoufak” and “Saharni” are central to her repertoire. Najwa Karam has performed repeatedly at the Jerash Festival in Jordan and has also appeared at the Carthage International Festival in Tunisia. Her concerts later reached major venues outside the Arab world, including a 2017 performance at the Olympia in Paris.
