About Ned's Atomic Dustbin
Ned's Atomic Dustbin are a British alternative-rock band formed in Stourbridge in 1987. Associated with the grebo scene, they built their sound around distorted guitars and an unusual two-bass lineup. Their best-known songs include “Kill Your Television,” “Grey Cell Green” and “Not Sleeping Around,” while their albums include God Fodder, Are You Normal? and Brainbloodvolume.
Ned's Atomic Dustbin played Reading Festival in 1991 after the release of God Fodder. Following their breakup in 1995, they reunited for a 2000 concert at JB's in Dudley and later established the recurring Christmas-season Ned'smas shows at Wolverhampton's Wulfrun Hall.
The band's live setup is a five-piece led by vocalist Jonn Penney, with separate bass parts played by Alex Griffin and Mat Cheslin.
