Nefesh Mountain is an American bluegrass and Americana band founded by married musicians Doni Zasloff and Eric Lindberg. Their songs set Jewish prayers and Hebrew and English lyrics to banjo-led acoustic arrangements; their albums include Beneath the Open Sky and Songs for the Sparrows. Nefesh Mountain has performed at the Grand Ole Opry and the Kennedy Center, bringing its original material and Jewish repertoire to major American stages. The group performs as an acoustic string band, led by Zasloff’s vocals and Lindberg’s banjo and guitar. Nefesh Mountain has also performed at North Carolina’s MerleFest and New York State’s Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival.
