New Order & Tricky in Buenos Aires

New Order are an English band formed in Salford in 1980 by Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook and Stephen Morris after the death of Joy Division singer Ian Curtis; Gillian Gilbert joined later that year. The band plays post-punk, electronic dance music and alternative rock, and is known for songs including “Blue Monday,” “Temptation,” “Bizarre Love Triangle” and “True Faith,” as well as the albums Power, Corruption & Lies, Low-Life and Technique. New Order took the tour supporting Get Ready through Europe, North America and Japan in 2001. The 2017 So it goes.. residency at Old Granada Studios paired the band’s catalog with Liam Gillick’s visual installation and an ensemble of synthesizer players. In 2022, the band co-headlined the Unity Tour with Pet Shop Boys, playing arenas across the United States and Canada. New Order have repeatedly played London and returned to their home region for concerts in Manchester.

Tricky is an English musician and producer, born Adrian Thaws in Bristol in 1968. His dark, slow-moving electronic music draws on hip-hop, rock and dub. After contributing vocals to Massive Attack recordings, he established his solo career with the 1995 album Maxinquaye, which includes “Overcome,” “Hell Is Round the Corner” and “Black Steel.” Tricky joined the 1997 Lollapalooza tour, performing material from the period around Pre-Millennium Tension with a live band. His later festival appearances have included Glastonbury Festival, while Montreux Jazz Festival has also hosted his band-led set.
