About NEWS
NEWS is a Japanese pop group formed in 2003 by Johnny & Associates. The group debuted with “NEWS Nippon” and became known for songs including “Kibou: Yell,” “weeeek” and “Chankapana.” After several lineup changes, NEWS settled as the trio of Keiichiro Koyama, Takahisa Masuda and Shigeaki Kato.
NEWS marked its 15th anniversary in 2018 with the Strawberry concerts at Ajinomoto Stadium. The EPCOTIA -ENCORE- run then brought the group to Kyocera Dome Osaka and Tokyo Dome, while the NEWS EXPO tour celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2023. That anniversary was capped by concerts titled BEST HIT PARADE!!! at Tokyo Dome.
