Nice As Fuck in Seattle

Nice as Fuck is a trio formed in 2016 by Jenny Lewis, Erika Forster of Au Revoir Simone and Tennessee Thomas of the Like. The musicians first played together in Thomas’s East Village storefront, then released the single “Door” and a self-titled debut album through Lewis’s Love’s Way label. The group made its live debut at Bern NY Bern, a benefit for Bernie Sanders’s presidential campaign. Its stripped-down concert setup centered on Forster’s bass, Thomas’s drums and Lewis’s vocals, the same lineup the trio later took on tour with M. Ward.

Jenny Lewis is an American singer-songwriter born in Las Vegas in 1976. She was the singer and guitarist of the Los Angeles indie-rock band Rilo Kiley, whose albums include The Execution of All Things, More Adventurous and Under the Blacklight. Her solo catalogue began with Rabbit Fur Coat, recorded with the Watson Twins, and also includes Acid Tongue, The Voyager, On the Line and Joy’All. For The Postal Service’s 2003 tour behind Give Up, she joined the live lineup as a singer and multi-instrumentalist. She later toured Rabbit Fur Coat with the Watson Twins and headlined theatres behind her subsequent solo records. In 2021 she opened arena dates for Harry Styles on Love On Tour, followed by her own Joy’All Ball Tour.
