Nicole Atkins in Columbia

Nicole Atkins is an American singer-songwriter from Neptune City, New Jersey, whose music draws on indie rock, country, psychedelic pop and soul. She first recorded as Nicole Atkins & the Sea, and her debut album, Neptune City, introduced songs including “The Way It Is” and “Maybe Tonight.” Her later albums include Mondo Amore, Slow Phaser, Goodnight Rhonda Lee and Italian Ice. Nicole Atkins & the Sea toured behind Neptune City and performed at Bonnaroo in 2008. For the album’s tenth anniversary, she presented it in full with an orchestra at the Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park.

John Gallagher Jr. is an American singer-songwriter and actor, born in Wilmington, Delaware, in 1984, whose music draws on folk, rock and emo. He is best known for originating the role of Moritz Stiefel in the Broadway musical Spring Awakening, which earned him the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical, and for playing Johnny in American Idiot. His solo records include Six Day Hurricane and 8th and Jane. In 2006, John Gallagher Jr. opened on Broadway in Spring Awakening at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre. He returned to Broadway in 2010 for American Idiot at the St. James Theatre, then appeared in Jerusalem at the Music Box Theatre the following year.
