The Nighthawks in Hamilton

The Nighthawks are an American blues and roots-rock band formed in Washington, D.C., in 1972 by singer and harmonica player Mark Wenner and guitarist Jimmy Thackery. Their hard-driving mix of Chicago blues, rhythm and blues, and rock and roll is documented on albums including Rock ’n’ Roll and Jacks & Kings. Live at the Psyche Delly captured the band’s 1976 performance at the Bethesda club that provided an early base for their shows. Decades later, an acoustic lineup recorded another live set for Last Train to Bluesville at the Sirius XM studios.
