About Nightwish
Nightwish is a Finnish symphonic metal band formed in Kitee in 1996 by keyboardist and songwriter Tuomas Holopainen. The group pairs heavy guitars and orchestral arrangements with expansive vocal melodies, and is known for albums including Oceanborn, Once and Imaginaerum, as well as songs such as “Nemo,” “Wish I Had an Angel” and “Ghost Love Score.”
The band filmed the 2005 End of an Era concert at Hartwall Areena in Helsinki. A decade later, the Vehicle of Spirit release captured 2015 performances at Wembley Arena in London and Ratina Stadium in Tampere; the Decades World Tour followed in 2018 and returned older material to the set.
Their festival appearances also included Wacken Open Air in Germany in 2013 and Rock in Rio in Brazil in 2015.
