Nikos Portokaloglou is a Greek singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Volos in 1957, whose music draws on rock, entechno and laïko. He first became known as the frontman and principal songwriter of Fatme, then established a solo catalogue that includes “Ta Karavia Mou Kaio,” “Thalassa Mou Skoteini,” “Den Mas Syghoro” and “Ti Leipei.”

At the Odeon of Herodes Atticus in 2023, Nikos Portokaloglou marked four decades of music with the concert “40 Chronia, Mia Volta,” revisiting songs from Fatme and his solo records. The anniversary program also reached the Theatre of Earth in Thessaloniki, placing the same career-spanning repertoire in another open-air setting.
