Nile Rodgers & Natasha Bedingfield in Basel

Nile Rodgers is an American guitarist, songwriter and producer, born in New York City in 1952 and best known as the co-founder of Chic with bassist Bernard Edwards. He co-wrote Chic’s “Le Freak” and “Good Times,” produced David Bowie’s album Let’s Dance and Madonna’s Like a Virgin, and played guitar on and co-wrote Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky.” Nile Rodgers and Chic played the West Holts Stage at Glastonbury Festival in 2013, then returned in 2017 for the Pyramid Stage. In 2019 they opened for Cher on dates of the Here We Go Again Tour. In California, Nile Rodgers and Chic performed at Coachella, while their appearances in England have included the Isle of Wight Festival.

Natasha Bedingfield is a British singer-songwriter born in 1981, known for soulful pop built around her clear, expressive vocals. Her debut album Unwritten introduced the songs “These Words” and “Unwritten,” while “Pocketful of Sunshine” became another signature recording. In 2007, she appeared as a supporting act on Justin Timberlake’s FutureSex/LoveShow and performed at Concert for Diana at Wembley Stadium. She followed with her own Less Is More Tour in 2010, then returned to headline dates in 2019 on the Roll with Me Tour.
