Nino D'Angelo in Zurich

Nino D'Angelo is an Italian singer-songwriter and actor, born in Naples in 1957, whose work is rooted in Neapolitan song and pop. He became widely known through “'Nu jeans e 'na maglietta,” which also gave its name to a film starring him, and later songs including “Senza giacca e cravatta.” His recordings and screen roles made him closely associated with Neapolitan popular culture. In 2017, he marked his 60th birthday with the Nino 6.0 concert at Stadio San Paolo in Naples, drawing on songs from across his career for a stadium audience. The later Il poeta che non sa parlare tour brought material from that album and earlier work to Italian theatres.
