Nits in Turku

Nits are a Dutch art-pop band formed in Amsterdam in 1974. Their music moves between alternative pop, new wave and progressive rock, and their best-known recordings include “Nescio,” “In the Dutch Mountains” and “Adieu, Sweet Bahnhof,” as well as the albums Omsk and In the Dutch Mountains. The 1989 live album Urk documented Nits in concert after the tours supporting several of those records. Its set brought songs from different phases of the band into a single stage repertoire, which they later performed in theatres and clubs across Europe. Their full-band concerts have long centered on the work of Henk Hofstede, Robert Jan Stips and Rob Kloet.
