About No Joy
No Joy is a Canadian shoegaze band formed in Montreal in 2009 by Jasamine White-Gluz and Laura Lloyd. The group became known for dense, distorted guitars and dream-pop vocals on albums including Ghost Blonde, Wait to Pleasure, More Faithful and Motherhood.
No Joy played its first concert in Montreal opening for Grant Hart, then toured with Best Coast during its early years. The band later supported Deafheaven and Quicksand on North American tours.
