Artists
No Te Va Gustar is a Uruguayan rock band formed in Montevideo in 1994. Its music draws on ska, reggae and murga, and its best-known songs include “Chau,” “A las nueve” and “Ese maldito momento.” Key albums include Este fuerte viento que sopla, Aunque cueste ver el sol and El calor del pleno invierno. On 5 March 2005, the band marked its first decade with a concert at Estadio Centenario; the performance was released as the live album and DVD MVD 05/03/05. No Te Va Gustar later brought its tours to Luna Park in Buenos Aires, part of a concert history built across major Latin American theatres, arenas and festival stages. The band has returned to Cosquín Rock in Argentina and has also performed at Mexico City’s Vive Latino.
Cruzando El Charco is an Argentine band formed in La Plata in 2012. Its songs draw on rock, pop, candombe, cumbia and folk rhythms. Among its best-known releases are the albums A mil, Lo que somos and Cicatrices, while “Terminales,” “Lo nuestro tiene magia” and “Soy” are central songs in its catalogue. The band marked its first decade with a headline concert at Estadio Obras in Buenos Aires. It later presented another major standalone show at Luna Park. Its festival history includes performances at Cosquín Rock and Quilmes Rock.
