Oklou in Zurich

Oklou is the stage name of French singer, songwriter and producer Marylou Mayniel. She makes electronic pop shaped by ambient textures and alternative R&B, and became known through the 2020 mixtape Galore, including “god’s chariots” and “fall.” Her first studio album, choke enough, followed with the title track and “blade bird.” After Galore, Oklou performed at Primavera Sound in Barcelona and Pitchfork Music Festival Paris. Her later shows around choke enough took her vocal-led electronic set to headline dates in London and New York.
