Old 97's in Fort Worth

Old 97's are an American alt-country and rock band formed in Dallas in 1992. Rhett Miller, Murry Hammond, Ken Bethea and Philip Peeples established the group’s core lineup, and albums such as Too Far to Care, Fight Songs and Satellite Rides produced staples including “Timebomb,” “Barrier Reef” and “Question.” The 2005 double live album Alive & Wired documented performances at Gruene Hall in New Braunfels and Stubb’s in Austin. The long-running Old 97's Holiday Extravaganza later became a December concert tradition, often pairing a solo opening set by Rhett Miller with a full-band performance.
