Olympic in Jihlava

Olympic is a Czech rock band formed in 1963 and led by guitarist and singer Petr Janda. Its catalogue spans the big-beat era and later classic rock, including the debut album Želva and songs such as “Dej mi víc své lásky,” “Slzy tvý mámy” and “Jasná zpráva.” The band took its name from Club Olympic in Prague, where it performed during its early years. Decades of touring through concert halls, arenas and festivals led to a 50th-anniversary concert at the O2 Arena in 2013.
