About Origami Angel
Origami Angel is an American rock duo formed in Washington, D.C., in 2016 by guitarist-vocalist Ryland Heagy and drummer Pat Doherty. They play emo and pop-punk shaped by intricate guitar parts and abrupt rhythmic changes. Their best-known releases include the albums Somewhere City and Gami Gang, and the songs “24 Hr Drive-Thru” and “Doctor Whomst.”
In 2022, Origami Angel opened The Wonder Years’ anniversary tour for The Upsides and Suburbia I’ve Given You All and Now I’m Nothing, alongside Spanish Love Songs and Save Face. The duo followed that run by co-headlining a North American tour with Pinkshift in 2023, supported by Sweet Pill.
The live setup centers on the same two-person core: Ryland Heagy sings and plays guitar, while Pat Doherty plays drums.
