Orishas in San Francisco de Mostazal

Orishas are a Cuban hip-hop group formed in France in 1999, performing rap rooted in son cubano and Afro-Cuban music. Their debut album, A Lo Cubano, introduced songs including “Represent” and “537 C.U.B.A.”; later releases included El Kilo and Cosita Buena. The group disbanded in 2009 and reunited in 2016. Their 2003 concert at L’Olympia in Paris was released as Live à l’Olympia, documenting the group’s full-band concert format. In 2009, they performed at the Viña del Mar International Song Festival in the Quinta Vergara amphitheatre.
