About Östro 430
Östro 430 is a German all-female punk and Neue Deutsche Welle band formed in Düsseldorf in 1979. The group is known for terse, confrontational songs including “Sexueller Notstand,” “Triebtäter” and “S-Bahn,” as well as the records Durch dick & dünn and Weiber wie wir.
The band played its first concert at Ratinger Hof in 1980, establishing its live work in the club circuit that surrounded the city’s early punk scene. After the original run ended in the 1980s, Östro 430 reunited in 2019 and returned to the stage, later performing at zakk.
