Otoboke Beaver in Pioneertown

Otoboke Beaver are a Japanese punk band formed in Kyoto in 2009. The four-piece play fast, jagged hardcore punk and noise rock, often using the Kyoto dialect in songs including “Don’t Light My Fire” and “S’il vous plaît.” Their best-known releases include Itekoma Hits and Super Champon. The band played SXSW in 2017 as part of its early US touring. Two years later, Otoboke Beaver performed at Glastonbury, followed by a later North American festival appearance at Coachella.
