About Ottmar Liebert & Luna Negra
Ottmar Liebert & Luna Negra is an instrumental nouveau-flamenco group founded in Santa Fe in 1989 by German guitarist and composer Ottmar Liebert. The project is known for the album Nouveau Flamenco and its signature piece “Barcelona Nights”; other early records include Borrasca and Solo Para Ti.
The 1995 concert album ¡Viva! documented the ensemble onstage after its first run of studio records. Ottmar Liebert & Luna Negra have since toured internationally, presenting this repertoire in theatres, performing-arts centers and festivals. The shows center on Ottmar Liebert’s nylon-string guitar, supported by percussion, bass and rhythm guitar.
