Panchiko are an English indie rock band formed in Nottingham in 1997. Their lo-fi mix of shoegaze, dream pop and electronic textures first appeared on the self-released 2000 EP D>E>A>T>H>M>E>T>A>L, which found a new audience online after a copy was discovered in a charity shop. The band later reunited and released the album Failed at Math(s), while “D>E>A>T>H>M>E>T>A>L” and “Laputa” became central songs in their catalogue. The reunited Panchiko played their first concert in more than two decades at Metronome in Nottingham in 2021. That return led to their first North American tour in 2022.
