Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo are the American rock partnership of singer Pat Benatar and guitarist, songwriter and producer Neil Giraldo. They began working together in 1979 on the album In the Heat of the Night, establishing a catalog of hard rock and melodic pop-rock that includes “Heartbreaker,” “Hit Me with Your Best Shot,” “Love Is a Battlefield” and “We Belong.” Crimes of Passion became another central album in their work together. Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo performed at the inaugural US Festival in 1982 and later marked 35 years of their musical partnership with the 35th Anniversary Tour in 2014. The De Novo Tour followed in 2022, and in 2023 they opened selected Summer Carnival shows for Pink.

Patty Smyth is an American rock singer-songwriter from New York City who became known as the lead vocalist of Scandal. The band’s signature songs include “Goodbye to You” and “The Warrior”; as a solo artist, she recorded “Sometimes Love Just Ain’t Enough,” a duet with Don Henley, and “Look What Love Has Done” for the film Junior. In 2004, she reunited with Scandal for VH1’s Bands Reunited and subsequently returned to the stage with the group for reunion concerts. Her solo performances also draw on both parts of her catalog, placing “The Warrior” and “Goodbye to You” beside “Sometimes Love Just Ain’t Enough.”
