Artist
Patáx is a Spanish ensemble led by percussionist Jorge Pérez, playing Latin jazz and Afro-Cuban music shaped by flamenco, funk and soul. The group is known for the concert project Live from Infinity and for Patáx Plays Michael, which recasts Michael Jackson songs through percussion-led arrangements. Live from Infinity documented Patáx as a large concert ensemble, built around percussion, vocals, keyboards, bass, brass and dance. The group later brought the Patáx Plays Michael repertoire to the stage, making the songs of Michael Jackson a central part of its live work.
