Paula Cole is an American singer-songwriter and pianist, born in Rockport, Massachusetts, in 1968. Her album This Fire produced “Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?” and “I Don’t Want to Wait,” which became the theme song for Dawson’s Creek. She received the Grammy Award for Best New Artist. In 1993, Paula Cole joined Peter Gabriel’s Secret World Tour as a vocalist, and her work on the tour was documented in the concert film and album Secret World Live. She later toured behind This Fire and performed at the inaugural Lilith Fair in 1997.
