Pepe Aguilar in Highland

Pepe Aguilar is a Mexican-American singer-songwriter, born in San Antonio in 1968 and raised in a musical family led by his parents, Antonio Aguilar and Flor Silvestre. He performs ranchera, mariachi and banda music shaped by pop production, and is known for albums including Por mujeres como tú and Por una mujer bonita, as well as songs such as “Por mujeres como tú” and “Prometiste.” In 2014, he recorded MTV Unplugged in Mexico City, turning his repertoire into a live program featuring guests including Miguel Bosé, Natalia Lafourcade and Saúl Hernández. He later mounted the family touring production Jaripeo Sin Fronteras, which joined his concert with equestrian displays and appearances by Ángela Aguilar and Leonardo Aguilar. The family returned to that arena format for Jaripeo Hasta Los Huesos.
