Perotá Chingó in Bilbao

Perotá Chingó is an Argentine folk project founded by singers Julia Ortiz and Dolores Aguirre. Their acoustic Latin folk is built around close vocal harmonies, guitar and percussion, and they are known for songs including “Ríe Chinito” and “La Complicidad,” as well as the albums Perotá Chingó and Aguas. The project began on the road as an acoustic duo, and recordings of Ortiz and Aguirre performing at Cabo Polonio in Uruguay captured that early format. Their concerts later developed into full-band performances and reached audiences across Latin America and Europe, while the two-voice center remained Julia Ortiz and Dolores Aguirre.
