Peter Bradley Adams is an American singer-songwriter born in Birmingham, Alabama, whose music draws on acoustic folk, Americana and understated pop. He first became known as half of the duo eastmountainsouth, then established a solo catalogue that includes Leavetaking, Traces and The Mighty Storm; “The Longer I Run” is among his best-known songs. After eastmountainsouth released its self-titled album in 2003, the duo toured as an opening act for Lucinda Williams and Tracy Chapman. Under his own name, he has continued to play intimate clubs and listening rooms, presenting songs in arrangements built around vocals and acoustic guitar after his duo years with Kat Maslich-Bode.
