Peter Case in Manitou Springs

Peter Case is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Buffalo in 1954, whose music spans folk, roots rock and power pop. He first became known through the Nerves, who recorded Jack Lee’s “Hanging on the Telephone,” and the Plimsouls, whose catalogue includes “A Million Miles Away.” His solo records include Peter Case and The Man with the Blue Post Modern Fragmented Neo-Traditionalist Guitar. The Nerves undertook a self-booked US tour in 1977, taking the trio beyond its West Coast club base. The Plimsouls later performed at the US Festival in 1983, before Peter Case established a long-running solo format built around his voice and acoustic guitar. He has also returned to electric band performances for Plimsouls reunion concerts in Los Angeles.
