About Peter Jöback
Peter Jöback is a Swedish singer and actor, born in Stockholm in 1971, whose work covers pop, Christmas music and musical theatre. He originated the role of Robert in Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus’s Kristina från Duvemåla, performing the song “Guldet blev till sand,” and his recordings include the Christmas album Jag kommer hem igen till jul. He has also played the title role in The Phantom of the Opera.
In 1995, he began playing Robert in the original production of Kristina från Duvemåla. He joined the original West End cast of The Witches of Eastwick at Theatre Royal Drury Lane in 2000, then took over as the Phantom at Her Majesty’s Theatre in 2012. The following year he made his Broadway debut in the same role at the Majestic Theatre.
