Peter Kay in Brighton

Peter Kay is an English stand-up comedian, actor and writer, born in Bolton in 1973. His observational comedy draws on family life, work and popular culture in northern England. He co-created and starred in the television comedies Phoenix Nights and Max and Paddy’s Road to Nowhere, and later co-wrote and starred in Peter Kay’s Car Share. His 2000 show Live at the Top of the Tower was recorded at Blackpool Tower and released on home video. The Mum Wants a Bungalow Tour was followed by The Tour That Doesn’t Tour Tour... Now On Tour, which played UK arenas in 2010 and 2011. In 2022, he returned to stand-up touring after a 12-year absence with Better Late Than Never, opening the run at Manchester’s AO Arena.
