Peter Mulvey is an American folk singer-songwriter and guitarist born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His catalogue includes the albums The Trouble with Poets, The Knuckleball Suite and Silver Ladder, and his narrative writing is heard in songs such as “The Trouble with Poets” and “Shirt.”

His early live work included busking in Boston subway stations and on the streets of Dublin. He later toured folk clubs and listening rooms across the United States, and his annual Wisconsin bicycle tours combined days of riding with evening performances. He also organized and performed in the Lamplighter Sessions, a recurring multi-artist concert series at Club Passim in Cambridge.
