Phillip Boa And The Voodooclub in Göttingen

Phillip Boa And The Voodooclub is a German alternative-rock band formed in Dortmund in 1985 by singer, guitarist and songwriter Phillip Boa. Its music draws on indie rock and post-punk, and the band is known for albums including Copperfield, Hair, Hispañola and Boaphenia, as well as songs such as “Container Love,” “This Is Michael” and “And Then She Kissed Her.” The band established a long-running Christmas-concert tradition at Moritzbastei in Leipzig, presenting its catalogue across multi-night engagements. It has also performed at Wave-Gotik-Treffen, one of Leipzig’s principal festivals for alternative and dark music.
