Comedian
Phoebe Robinson is an American comedian, writer, actress and podcaster born in Cleveland in 1984. Her stand-up draws on race, gender, relationships and pop culture, and she became widely known through 2 Dope Queens, the comedy podcast she created and hosted with Jessica Williams. Her work also includes the books You Can’t Touch My Hair, Everything’s Trash, but It’s Okay and Please Don’t Sit on My Bed in Your Outside Clothes. Robinson and Williams developed 2 Dope Queens through live shows at Union Hall in Brooklyn before launching the podcast in 2016. HBO later recorded four specials at Kings Theatre, and Robinson subsequently took her own stand-up on the solo tour Sorry, Harriet Tubman.
