Pierre Bensusan in Jackson

Pierre Bensusan is a French acoustic guitarist, singer and composer, born in Oran in 1957. He is known for fingerstyle playing in DADGAD tuning and for music shaped by folk, jazz, Celtic and North African traditions. His principal recordings include the debut Près de Paris and the albums Wu Wei, Altiplanos and Azwan. Live au New Morning documented his performance at the Paris club, where his guitar arrangements and vocals formed the centre of the concert. He has toured largely as a solo performer, presenting instrumental compositions and songs in theatres, folk clubs and guitar festivals. Encore later brought together live recordings made by Pierre Bensusan over many years.
