Pimpinela in Miguel Hidalgo

Pimpinela is an Argentine pop duo formed in 1981 by siblings Lucía Galán and Joaquín Galán. Their songs turn romantic disputes into vocal dialogues, a style heard in “Olvídame y pega la vuelta,” “A esa” and “Valiente.” The duo marked four decades together with an international anniversary tour drawing on its full catalogue. Lucía and Joaquín perform the songs as dramatic scenes, trading lines and acting out the confrontations written into the duets, accompanied by a live band. Pimpinela have presented this production in the arena setting of Luna Park in Buenos Aires and the concert-hall setting of Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City.
