Pimps of Joytime is an American band from Brooklyn led by singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Brian J. The group plays funk and soul shaped by Afrobeat, Latin percussion and electronic dance music, and is known for albums including High Steppin’, Janxta Funk! and Jukestone Paradise.
Pimps of Joytime played Bonnaroo and Outside Lands while touring clubs and theatres across North America. Their festival appearances also included High Sierra Music Festival and Gathering of the Vibes.
