Pinhead Gunpowder is an American punk band formed in California’s East Bay in 1990. The lineup brings together Billie Joe Armstrong, Aaron Cometbus, Jason White and Bill Schneider, and is known for compact, melodic punk songs including “Life During Wartime” and “West Side Highway.” Its catalogue includes the compilation Jump Salty, the album Goodbye Ellston Avenue and the EP Shoot the Moon. In 2008, the band played an unannounced set at 924 Gilman Street in Berkeley after a long absence from the stage. A brief West Coast run followed in 2010, including concerts at Chain Reaction in Anaheim and the Troubadour in Los Angeles.
