Pink Floyd in Umeå

Pink Floyd are an English rock band formed in London in 1965. Their psychedelic and progressive rock is represented by albums including The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Wall, and by songs such as “Comfortably Numb,” “Money” and “Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2.” In 1972, Pink Floyd performed the suite that became The Dark Side of the Moon before the album was released. The 1980–81 concerts for The Wall placed a large wall across the stage during the performance, while the 1994 Division Bell tour supplied the recordings for the concert album and film Pulse. David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Richard Wright and Nick Mason reunited for one final performance at Live 8 in Hyde Park in 2005.
