Pippo Pollina in St. Pölten

Pippo Pollina is an Italian singer-songwriter, born in Palermo in 1963 and based in Switzerland. He writes in the tradition of canzone, folk rock and chanson, and is known for albums including Camminando camminando, Il giorno del falco and Canzoni segrete. Pippo Pollina has toured theatres and concert halls in German-speaking Europe for decades, performing both solo and with acoustic ensembles. The concert project Süden paired him with Werner Schmidbauer and multi-instrumentalist Martin Kälberer. In 2013, an anniversary concert featuring guests including Konstantin Wecker marked his 30 years on stage at Hallenstadion Zürich.
