About Pokey Bear
Pokey Bear is an American Southern blues artist from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, born in 1970. His music draws on Louisiana blues, Southern soul, contemporary R&B and bayou soul. He formed the Louisiana Blue Brothas with Tyree Neal and Adrian Bagher, and the trio released Love on the Bayou in 2014. His solo releases include Josephine Son Pokey and Mr. It Ain’t Fair, which featured “Good Foot” and a collaboration with Mystikal.
In 2026, he performed at the Hampton Jazz & Music Festival.
