Pokey LaFarge is an American singer-songwriter and bandleader, born in Bloomington, Illinois, in 1983. He plays roots music shaped by country, blues, ragtime and early jazz, and is known for albums including Middle of Everywhere and Something in the Water, as well as songs such as “Central Time” and “Something in the Water.” In 2011, Pokey LaFarge and the South City Three performed at the Newport Folk Festival. He later opened concerts for Jack White on the Blunderbuss tour and made his Grand Ole Opry debut in 2013.
