About Polaris
Polaris are an Australian metalcore band formed in Sydney in 2012. They are known for tightly structured heavy music built around screamed and clean vocals, down-tuned guitars and melodic passages. Their albums include The Mortal Coil, The Death of Me and Fatalism, while “Lucid,” “Masochist” and “Nightmare” are among their best-known songs.
In 2019, Polaris joined Architects on the Australian leg of the Holy Hell tour, which also featured While She Sleeps. Pandemic delays pushed back their own The Death of Me headline run, eventually staged across Australia in 2022. After guitarist Ryan Siew died in 2023, the band postponed its Australian Fatalism tour; the rescheduled shows went ahead later that year with August Burns Red, Kublai Khan TX and Currents.
