Portugal. The Man is an American rock band formed in 2004 in Wasilla, Alaska, by John Gourley and Zach Carothers. Its psychedelic indie rock and pop are heard across albums including In the Mountain in the Cloud, Evil Friends and Woodstock. The single “Feel It Still” won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, while “Live in the Moment” became another of the band’s best-known songs. Portugal. The Man spent 2017 and 2018 touring behind Woodstock, including a 2018 performance at Coachella. In 2022, the band co-headlined a North American tour with alt-J that reached Madison Square Garden, supported by Cherry Glazerr.
