Project Trio in Venice

Project Trio is an American chamber ensemble based in Brooklyn, founded by flutist Greg Pattillo, double bassist Peter Seymour and cellist Eric Stephenson. The group is known for Pattillo’s beatbox-flute technique, original instrumental pieces and arrangements that draw on classical music, jazz and hip-hop; its recordings include When Will Then Be Now and Random Roads Collection. Project Trio has performed at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York, while making school concerts, workshops and masterclasses a central part of its touring. Its programs combine ensemble repertoire with demonstrations of the musicians’ techniques, a format it has also presented at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
