Protoje in San Luis Obispo

Protoje is a Jamaican reggae singer, songwriter and producer, born in 1981 in Saint Elizabeth Parish. His music draws on roots reggae, dub and dancehall, and his best-known recordings include “Who Knows” with Chronixx and “Kingston Be Wise.” Ancient Future and A Matter of Time are among his key albums. In 2016, Protoje and his band The Indiggnation performed at both Coachella and Glastonbury. He has toured internationally with the group, presenting a full-band reggae set in clubs, theatres and outdoor festivals, and has also performed at Spain’s Rototom Sunsplash.
